On your EazyApp system, we have already configured 4 virtual machines for your business's private virtual environment. The virtual environment consists of the following virtual machines. The 2 virtual machines you connect to and manage are the File Server and the Application Host(s)
- Domain Controller
- The domain controller is pre-configured and managed by Applianz technicians. Within this, we push our group policy updates and changes. We are happy to make and update GPO's at your request!
- File Server
- The File Server is where your business application's server components should be installed and configured. If your application has server-specific software, it should be installed in this session. Application data and server software should be put on the N: Drive, labeled AppData, unless otherwise directed. The AppData is shared out to the Application Host(s) via an SMB shared of \\FileServer\AppData.
- Examples of software to be installed on this virtual machine include:
- Quickbooks Database Server Manager
- SQL Server
- Sage Server Software
- Application Host(s)
- The Application Host(s) is the virtual machine where any software your end-users may use should be installed. The software configured on this virtual machine is published out via RemoteApp to allow delivery to your end-users workstations.
- Examples of software to be installed on this virtual machine include:
- Quickbooks Desktop
- Microsoft Office 365
- Note: 365 E3 is required to run in a Remote Desktop environment
- Sage Client Software
- Point of Sale software
- If you are a larger user base we have provided you with multiple application hosts. Ensure that both are configured with the same software and settings as users are balanced between the two.
- Gateway (aka Connect)
- The Gateway (also referred to as Connect) virtual machine is managed by Applianz technicians. It provides security and connection services for the platform. A web server is configured on the virtual machine and access to this web server for your use is available upon request.
